The formula to unite a group that’s short in count?
Activities + Beer + Party + Swimming + Videoke = TEAM BUILDING!
This is not a perfect formula, of course but we’ve proven that it works!
Gilbert’s resort was jam-packed! Montreal was big enough to accommodate lots of people but our presence made it even more loaded – and noisier! We got there pretty late at around 10 or 11pm (on Aug. 19) but we still had the energy to do the one thing we love the most: partying!
Some hit on the videoke, some dived into the icy waters of the pool, some played billiards, and some just had one great pig out. In other words, it was a night for chill! Nobody was bored, everyone had pure fun.
The next morning, they were all tipsy and dizzy because of alcohol and lack of sleep. I did not get drunk that night despite the shots of booze that I had. A lot of my classmates got drunk, and it was fun watching them make a fool out of themselves. LOL. At the burning rays of the sun, we conducted our games/activities at the garden. I walked around holding my video camera taking shots of them for the documentation and for my personal use. My batchmates who also got exposed to the sun had been toasted! Hehe!
My batch, the fourth year, stayed together in the biggest room. It also had the biggest bathroom and it’s the only room with Jacuzzi! The Jacuzzi is now Carmelino’s favorite place by the way, haha!
We went home at that afternoon with memories of ecstasy. But now it’s back to reality, back to work, study and responsibility.
I’m glad I got to let my hair down even just for one whole night.
(This official activity of the International Studies Department was conducted on August 19 – 20 @ Montreal Resort in Pila, Laguna. Pictures are yet to come.)
