The world cup is better than the NBA
Forget the NBA. For me European football is the real sport. Compared to basketball, football is more fun and exciting. Back in my primary school days, I remember playing football in the 5th grade. Before I entered into the martial arts scene I loved this sport first (no wonder I shifted into taekwondo easily).

Congratulations to Team Italy! Honestly, I did not stick to the game because I was afraid that I will get addicted to TV and football so I became contented with the news. Too bad Spain lost! I am a fan of Spain (need I say more) and their defeat was really sad. Oh well… I am looking forward for next year. ¡Vamos España! Hehehe.

Pacmania
Usually I do not read the features part of any newspaper. I stick to the headlines and world news and ditch the other parts. But Alfred A. Yuson’s July 10, 2006 Philippine Star article about Manny Pacquiao caught my eye.
Manny’s face is basically everywhere after reaching success and fame. Here in the Philippines, he has myriads of advertisements already. He also has a lot of pictures in the Internet according to the writer. Actually, these pictures are comical ones. They are more of caricatures or Photoshop enhanced shots that can make you smile and laugh. For instance, there is one shot that shows Manny’s face in Jose Rizal’s body and it looks so real and if you do not know what Rizal looked like you might probably think that the picture was real!
Sadly, I cannot find similar pictures in the Internet so I decided to post this one:

Etiquette101
Last week, I accompanied a friend in Manila. While on my way home I happened to be sitted right in front of a young mom. People were starting to greet how cute her baby is until… she started breastfeeding in public!
Whoa! Forgive me but I am deeply bothered by this act. In the States where almost everyone is too busy to notice that you even exist, this act is acceptable. But here is it ethical? I understand that etiquette is depending on a country. For the westerners it is okay not to be polite with the elders, but for the Asians you are considered rude if you do not surrender to your authority figure. Can somebody just please enlighten me? Is this acceptable in the Philippine setting? I mean, the woman practically showed her left breast in front of us. The men beside me were all watching as she proudly did her motherly thing. Some of them were okay with it, some where surprised while I on the other hand was confused.
Writing is not a career, it is a hobby.
Some of you probably know that I used to be involved in student publications. Yes, I like writing but I consider it as a hobby. For me it is not something to be taken seriously. I know I am not born to be a journalist and I am deeply satisfied on just scribbling my weird thoughts on my blog. I am so bad at handling pressure and deadlines so I knew from the start that writing for me is just a past time, not a career. I am so terrible when it comes to deadlines! However, God encouraged me to not give up on it. He meant that I should continue it and do it for Him. So I decided to join the newsletter ministry to do exactly what He said. So yes… basically I am back to writing again and hopefully there would be no or at least minimal pressure this time.
Watch out John Eldredge and Joshua Harris.
Kidding!
Sugar(less) Rush
You have to try them! Marks & Spencer Digestive Milk Chocolate Digestive Biscuits are just so delicious! It will make you wonder how something fat free can be so yummy. It is perfect for those who want to lose weight and indulge on something sweet at the same time. Although it is somehow pricey, I totally recommend it. I love it!
