Tiring but fun. Those are the two best words that can describe the recently concluded South East Asian Games.
We were assigned as liaison officers or in layman's terms... personal alalay of the SEA Games delegates. The location: Trace College in Los Banos, Laguna. Trace College became home to the aquatic events such as diving, water polo and swimming.
My delegate, a VIP from Taiwan, Ms. Jenny Hsu stayed in Vivere suites so from there I had to pick her up at 7 in the morning and come back all the way from Laguna to have lunch and rest.
Jenny is almost as old as my mom. It's weird, you know - I took care of her but she could be my mom already. I accompanied her everywhere she went even to Greenhills. And thank God for that because it was actually my first time to go there. LOL!
Lunch isn't that good in Vivere. But hey, at least we got something to eat for free and I think that's a big deal already. Some people from Trace College also treated us with disrespect. I don't know, I think they are just jealous of us Bedans. I couldn't blame them.
The male swimmers are also great looking and not to mention they have good bodies, too! :) I was weary for one whole week (November 28 - December 4), but the experience was definitely worth it. I just have to make up for the time I lost at school.Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand won the most number of medals in swimming. But kudos to the Pinoy athletes for becoming the over-all champion! Pinoy Ako from Orange and Lemons was like a national anthem - and I felt good because I've never seen Filipinos sing something with so much enthusiasm.
Wow, after all these years of no unity I never thought that all we need is a song...
