Last night's conversation with the Thursday Boys was both fun and meaningful.

After walking to and from the Cultural Foundation (we watched the movie Elizabeth), I interviewed our friend Eric - the consequence he got for not talking much. Lol.

I never imagined that a person who speaks little words will say a powerful preaching. My thought of freeing myself from the corny thought of love became stronger after he shared his thoughts with us.

I decided to end this feeling that I have for quite some time. Why? Well, it's useless. I don't hear God say anything about it and to be honest, I can't understand myself why my STANDARDS deteriorated. Before becoming saved, believe me, all my boyfriends are good looking, and when I say good looking I mean hunk.

I guess I should guard my heart more. For the record, I'm happy that I got to like someone not because he looks like a Guess? model. For the first time in my life, I liked someone because I can really see that he's a true man of God. But the question lies if that person is the one that God wills for you. And with the way things are going I guess God wants me to focus on something else than courtship.

Anyway, Eric shared that instead of praying for a particular person, list down the qualities that you look for in a spouse. I guess let's ditch that physical qualities and start looking for what really matters. He narrated that some people he knows did the same thing and was matched by God with the other person who was looking for the quality that he has. It was just so AMAZING! Pairing people who are looking for each others qualities? God is really a genius!

If you think that I already wrote the qualities that I seek for in a spouse, you better think again. As I said, I think God wants me to focus on something else and I believe it's not courtship for this time. Right now I'll focus on what God wants me to do and I'll not even worry about my future husband. He's just out there being equipped to be the right person for God and for me! :-) And who knows? Maybe a few years from now I'll have the heart to write down those qualities.
