Loving My New Normal

It's amazing how God can take us from one season to another!

Just a few years ago, I was a carefree individual who's busy traveling the world...

This is my new life now: 

March 15, 2012: Our arrival in Abu Dhabi. Aubrielle's first airplane ride!

People have been worried and asking me how am I doing. Come on people, LIFE DOESN'T STOP AT FLYING!!!

Ever since I've stopped flying...

• I got to discover Abu Dhabi more and to go areas where I've never been before - Okay, AUH is not really interesting but it just amazes me that being on ground makes me appreciate the city more. I didn't really had time to explore the city when I was still flying.
• I get to attend church every week - It's important that we attend services every week. I know a lot of crew who admitted that they were very active at church back home and when they got here to the UAE their whole world revolved on work. I'm very blessed that this was never my problem, but of course I had to occasionally miss Friday service. Now it's a thing of a past and I'm happy that I won't be missing church anymore! ;)
• I get to save more money - Believe it or not, this is TRUE! Flight attendants have a high standard of living that it tends to be difficult to save money. In every layover, we spend on food, tours and of course on SHOPPING!
• I get to spend time with my hubby - No more layovers that keep me away from him!

So you see, it's not so bad! ;) I do miss flying, my old room, shopping and traveling! But I guess I can have them again if I want to. Now is a time for a new life and direction and hopefully this year we will be crossing to the other side of the Quadrant! 

Sad to say, there are some negative comments coming from some churchmates (tsk tsk!). They expect me to be miserable but what they don' know is that I don't have time for negativity and I choose to live a happy life! ;p 

"Life is not perfect but it can only be good when we decide to make the most out of it!"
